Former Paris-Saint Germain star Nenê has been banned for 9 matches and fined €67,000 after he was involved in a violent bust-up with Houssine Kharja, who was banned for 10 games ban, during a Qatar Stars League game.

The Brazilian left PSG last year and was heralded as a star attraction of the Qatari league, but he's landed himself in hot water after only a few months of joining Al-Gharafa.

The pair are seen tussling earlier on during Al-Gharafa's game against Al-Arabi, and soon the scuffle developed into something more serious after Nene earned his second yellow card of the game.

Nene got the first punch in, clubbing Kharia on the side of the head before scampering away.

He wasn't going to get away with it that easy however, and Kharia came charging back, leaping and punching his rival in the chops. Soon, a full-scale brawl broke out.
