International Goals of the Week: March 26 (7)

Published 4 Comments

The best of the rest....

Of course it wouldn't be the international break without a smattering or randam/hilarious/odd moments, and this one is no different.

Luis Suarez has once again made the headlines for his japes off the ball, while Lionel Messi bemoaned the altitude in Bolivia as Argentina struggled to a 1-1 draw.

At least that was his excuse as he failed to put away this clear-cut chance. The Barcelona man managed to defy the lack of oxygen with this sensational run, while Real Madrid's Angel di Maria couldn't stand the thin air and required oxygen.

If that wasn't enough, Messi was then forced to stand awkwardly as Bolivian president Evo Morales presented him with a poncho he was then forced to try on.

Elsewhere Taras Stepanenko received a well-deserved red card for this head-high lunge during Ukraine's game against Moldova, while Finland goalkeeper Lucas Hradecky pulled off this cheeky back-heel flick that left his opponent bamboozled.
