Inter Milan - 97 points - Serie 'A' 2006/07

Football News

Inter Milan's Serie 'A' title triumph in 2006/07 under the stewardship of now Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini will forever be remembered as one of the finest achievements in Italian football history.

The Nerazzurri set a host of different records including most league goals scored in a season (107), most victories (30 out of 38 games), and consecutive number of victories (17), culminating in their 97-point tally, which is an all-time record in the 20-team championship.

Bragging rights belonged to Inter fans that year after they finished a record 36 points ahead of their inner city rivals AC Milan, which is also the biggest ever lead over the Rossoneri in the one-division Serie 'A' championship.
