Lyon - 84 points - Ligue 1 2005/06

Football News

Lyon's fifth consecutive French title in 2005/06 was founded on a remarkable record that saw them lose just four of their 38 Ligue 1 games, finishing the season 15 points ahead of nearest rivals Bordeaux.

After smashing the 79-point record held by AS Monaco (1996/97) and Nantes (1994/95), Lyon's unrivalled tally could be bettered this year by leaders Paris Saint-Germain, providing they win all of their remaining nine league games, with a current haul of 58 points from 29 matches.
