Chelsea have had a £21million offer for striker Burak Yilmaz rejected by Galatasaray, according to Turkish newspaper Fanatik.

The Turkish international has been in inspired form this season after his switch from Trabzonspor in the summer and president Unal Aysal rebuffed the London's club offer immediately.

The forward has netted 25 goals in 31 appearances for the Istanbul club and is also joint top goalscorer in the Champions League with none other than Cristiano Ronaldo on eight.

Yilmaz has also scored twice for the national side in three appearances this calendar year to go along with his 16 in the league helping Galatasaray lead the division by four points, ahead of bitter rivals Fenerbahce.

Both the Blues and Premier League rivals Manchester United and Liverpool have all been linked with the striker who is currently playing up front with former Chelsea star Didier Drogba.

However, the 27-year-old is contracted until 2016 and it is believed that the Turkish league leaders will accept no less than £33million for their free-scoring forward.
