Player: Christian Eriksen | Club: Tottenham Hotspur
Andre Villas-Boas deploys a high-risk system at Spurs and it was working when the White Hart Lane club went a record 13 Premier League games without defeat.
However, at the start of the season and in recent weeks we have seen it falter somewhat. A large factor in this is the loss of a player like Luka Modric who can keep moving the ball when things aren’t quite coming together or the opposition are proving to be particularly resilient.
Eriksen would provide the calm head and vision that could help ease the pressure on Tottenham’s high-intensity game plan when it isn’t clicking and subsequently ease some of the pressure on the back four.
