Player: Christian Benteke | Club: Manchester City
Roberto Mancini has two of the most talented forwards in the Premier League in the form of Sergio Aguero and Carlos Tevez but still lacks something extra.
Edin Dzeko plays the traditional ‘big man’ role at the Etihad Stadium but only seems able to do it sporadically and often goes missing when he is playing the lone striker.
Aston Villa’s Benteke has been showing all season how good he can be when the focal point of an attack and he done so effectively with a midfield support that is hardly inspirational.
The Belgium international would give Mancini the perfect antidote to teams that close up at the back, content to sit back and hold out for a point; Benteke has the size, power and touch to scupper tactics like this, not to mention an instinct for being in the right place when the ball comes loose.
