Chelsea & Tottenham interest confirmed in Ligue 1 striker
St Etienne striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has attracted interest from Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur
According to Sky Sports, the 23-year-old - who currently plies his trade in France with Ligue 1 outfit St Etienne - is one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe at the moment, and has attracted attention from a host of top European clubs.
Paris Saint-Germain have also been credited with an interest in Aubameyang's signature, however, his representative - and father - Pierre Aubame hinted that a return to Serie 'A' with AC Milan would be the Gabon international's preferred choice of transfer.
"My son is having a fantastic season in the French league," he told Sky Sports. "He is happy and we are happy.
"There is interest in Germany, Italy and England. We have been invited by clubs. I will go to meet Fiorentina, who are interested and want the boy."
Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas is believed to be monitoring Aubameyang's situation as he weighs up a bid to lure him to White Hart Lane, while Chelsea chief Roman Abramovich could also make a rival offer for the St Etienne star.
Meanwhile, Roberto Mancini is still on the lookout for a replacement striker for Mario Balotelli, after the Italian left the Etihad Stadium in January for AC Milan, where Aubameyang failed to make the breakthrough earlier in his career.
A move back 'home' to the San Siro would have some appeal for the talented frontman, but a Premier League switch also remains a possibility.
"Milan? I would love Pierre to return there if they want him because it is like home to him," added Pierre Aubame.
"England has always been appealing, especially London, but there are also other clubs, it is not just the likes of Chelsea and Tottenham."
