'Jack Wilshere leaves Arsenal to sign for Manchester United.'
It's a headline most Arsenal fans would dread and probably feel, at this moment in time, would never happen.
But just a season or two ago who would have thought that Robin van Persie would ever be allowed to leave the Gunners in order to pull on the shirt of rivals United?
Many fans would have laughed if you'd suggested such a thing was possible.
Of course, there have been no rumours of Wilshere being unhappy or wanting to leave Arsenal. He is only 21 and, despite the Gunners' trophy drought, may still think he has plenty of time on his hands - but for how much longer?
Many United fans consider their team's weakest area to be midfield - despite Sir Alex Ferguson always appearing happy with his options - so a move for Wilshere could be just the answer.
Since his emergence, the diminutive midfielder has looked like the one English player who would actually fit into the Barcelona team, thanks to his excellent movement and passing ability.
Of course, if he was to ever become available there would be a huge list of admirers hammering on Arsenal's door - perhaps even Barca and Real Madrid included - so competition for his signature would inevitably be fierce.
His price tag would be huge so whether United could, or would be willing to, match any valuation would be another question mark.
But if Wilshere's preference was to stay in England and to go to a team where he could win trophies - if Arsenal don't start soon - then United could be his best option.
