Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has denied he and star midfielder Yaya Toure are on their way out of Etihad Stadium.
Recent reports claimed Ligue 2 club Monaco wanted to lure the Italian away from Manchester City by offering him a £170million transfer kitty.
Separate reports claimed Ivory Coast star Toure was preparing to leave the Citizens unless the club offered him a new deal.
Losing Toure would be a huge blow to Mancini as the former Barcelona midfielder has been a key component to any success experienced by Manchester City since he joined them in 2010.
Mancini dismissed any notion of him leaving for any other club and predicted Youre would be there for years to come.
“Monaco is one of the best teams in the French Second Division and they have a good manager. I’ll stay here for a long time – like Yaya!” he told reporters.
‘Yaya is one of the best players in the world and he will stay here for another three, four, five (years), I don’t know. A long time.”
Manchester City will now have to concentrate on the FA Cup as the 15-point gap opened up between them and rivals Manchester United means they are almost certain to lose their Premier League.
The Old Trafford club could yet scupper their last hope of silverware, however, as the Citizens will face either them or Chelsea in one of the semi-finals next month.
