Top Five: Deadliest teams in the Premier League (6)

1. Manchester United - 6.37 shots/goal (440 shots/69 goals)

Sir Alex Ferguson has made much of the fact he rates his current attacking line-up as better than the one he managed in Manchester United's treble-winning 1999 season - and based on these stats he seems to be right.

With the introduction of Robin van Persie to go alongside Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez and Danny Welback, the Red Devils have plenty of goals in them. Van Persie has even been able to suffer a goal slump of late without United's potency in front of goal being affected.

The fact they average 2.38 goals-per-game, more than a goal every two games than their cross-city rivals says it all.
