The Norwegian striker is a certain choice in the list. He spent over a decade at Old Trafford although a large chunk of his time was injury-plagued. Arriving in 1996 Solskjaer played a total of 366 matches for his club finding the net 126 times.

Although not given as much credit as he deserved he was a fierce striker with a good eye for goal. He left Old Trafford in 2008 and now works as a manager in the Norwegian league Molde FK. His greatest moment came in the European Cup final of 1999 when he scored a stoppage time winner against German giants Bayern Munich to help complete an incredible treble.

Van Nistelrooy joined Manchester United from PSV in 2001 for a hefty £19 million. During his stay at Old Trafford he scored 150 goals in just 219 appearances and helped his team to many titles.
