Chelsea poised to make summer move for Manchester City's Yaya Toure

Published 1 Comments

Chelsea are poised to try and lure Manchester City's Yaya Toure to Stamford Bridge in the summer, according to the Daily Express.

There has been speculation about the 29-year-old in recent weeks linking the Ivorian with a move away from the Etihad Stadium, with Paris Saint-Germain reportedly being a potential destination.

The Blues are set to test the resolve of the north-west club as they prepare to make a swoop for Toure at the end of the season with the players contract talks stalling.

The powerful midfielder is a sought after player and City are expecting a flood of bids from a number of high profile clubs including Spanish giants Real Madrid.

The Citizens have struggled to recapture their league winning form from last term and have been off the pace of Premier League leaders Manchester United for most of the season.

Toure has scored five goals in the league this season for the champions who look set to finish in the runners up spot, although still have an FA Cup semi-final against Rafa Benitez's men to look forward to.
