Speculation surrounding a Bony transfer is heating up, with West Ham thought to be keen. Chelsea were also linked earlier last month though, and with competition fierce for first-choice Radamel Falcao, Bony might be a good bet.
He's frighteningly effective in the Eredivisie (27 goals in 28 games), but we've heard that before - Alfonso Alves, Mateja Kezman, etc.
Still, he'd be available at a fraction of the price of Falcao, he's willing to come to the Premier League, and he's got the goal record to match the Colombian this season, abet in a much weaker league.
Bony has helped fire Vitesse to within three points of the top of the Eredivisie table, and the club's owner Merab Jordania is reportedly a close personal friend of Roman Abramovich. He was even present at the recent Brazil v Russia friendly at Stamford Bridge.
Was Bony a topic of conversation that night? Quite possibly.
