4. Manchester United - Overall points: 12
Manchester United are cantering to the Premier League title after missing out so dramatically last season.
The Red Devils can count themselves a little unlucky to miss out on the last eight of the Champions League at the hands of Real Madrid, while a domestic double is now beyond them after they exited the FA Cup against Chelsea on Monday.
Sir Alex Ferguson's side have been able to overhaul rivals Manchester City in the league primarily because of their attacking prowess; the arrival of Robin van Persie to a potent looking attacking line-up has prompted plenty of comparisons to the 1999 treble-winning unit. They rank in the top three teams in Europe when it comes to putting the ball in the net, but their failings at the back mean they fall just short of the very best in Europe.
