If you were to look back at the Premier League table five or six games ago, only about six teams would have realistically been looked at as relegation threatened.
Now we have ten teams ranging from West Ham, who sit in 11th place, to Reading who are propping up the table.
West Ham may be close to the top-half of the table, however just six points seperates them and 18th place Aston Villa. This means teams such as Southampton, Stoke, Norwich, Newcastle, Sunderland and Wigan are still all in danger of facing the dreaded drop. QPR and Reading currently make up the relegation zone and are in danger of losing sight from the pack as they lie seven points from safety.
With seven/eight games to go, this could well be one of the greatest ever relegation battles in Premier League history. Both Sunderland and Reading have sacked their bosses in the last couple of games as they are showing signs of feeling the pressure.
Managers such as Tony Pulis at Stoke and Chris Hughton of Norwich are now in need of results to save their jobs too.
The turn around of these last half dozen games has made a significant effect on the division which certainly adds extra spice to the campaign after an all but finished title race between the Manchester clubs.
Wigan are once again coming into form now the clocks have changed and with three wins on the bounce, they are the on form team in the bottom half of the league.
Who do you think will go down? Can any team from the bottom half stile dragged into the relegation scrap? And have Reading and QPR left it too late to make an historic escape?
