Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic has revealed that he feels 'blessed' to play for the Premier League leaders.

The former Serbia international joined the Red Devils back in 2006 and has enjoyed his time at Old Trafford, becoming captain in that time.

The 31-year-old has achieved a lot in his seven-and-a-half years with United, winning four Premier League titles, three League Cups and the illustrious Champions League crown on one occasion.

And, Manchester United and Vidic are on track to secure another league title this term, which would be the 20th time the club have finished top of the table.

The centre-back is known for his heart and desire when playing and shows commitment to the cause in every match he features in, however, the past few seasons have been interrupted with injuries which has seen speculation arise linking him with a move away from Old Trafford.

Despite his troublesome times on the sidelines, Vidic says he feels blessed to play for Manchester United and that they deserve credit for their form this term after being the first club in English top-flight history to win 25 of their first 30 games in the league.

"I feel blessed to play for this club and I learn things every day. I've been at United for seven-and-a-half years... I can't deny I feel something very special," Vidic told Inside United.

"It's brought me huge enjoyment and the opportunity to express myself on what is probably the biggest stage in football.

"I think we've played well this year, we've scored many goals. Okay maybe we can improve certain things, but if you look at the team performance this year I think it is better than any other season.

"We've used so many players this season. So many players have a role to play, so credit to everyone. We are determined to win the trophies. We care about style too, but I think it is most important to think game by game.

"We keep saying that, but it is the way we do it."
