John Terry

Where to start with good old JT. In 2001, soon after the September 11 attacks, Terry and three Chelsea team-mates were fined two weeks' wages for an incident involving American tourists at a Heathrow airport bar.

Less than six months later - in January 2002 - he was charged with assault and affray after a confrontation with a nightclub bouncer. Terry was banned from England selection for the duration of the trial, but was later cleared.

More recently, there was the extramarital affair allegations involving Terry and the ex-girlfriend of former team-mate Wayne Bridge, and his racial abuse case with Anton Ferdinand, which again saw the Blues captain found not guilty in court.
