Manchester United 5-3 Tottenham, 2001

Another startling Manchester United win. Tottenham have a pretty poor record against the Red Devils over the years but looked certain to buck the trend back in 2001.

The north London side raced into a 3-0 lead against their illustrious rivals thanks to goals from debutant Dean Richards, Les Ferdinand and Christian Ziege.

Alas, no one had told them that it was a game of two halves and United roared back into the game, with Laurent Blanc, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Juan Seba Veron, Andy Cole and David Beckham helping the away side turn it around.

Luckily for Spurs they learned their lesson and didn't do an almost identical thing eight years later...
