Tottenham's Scott Parker believes that the club can prove they can be a force to be reckoned with by winning the Europa League.
Spurs host Swiss club FC Basel at White Hart Lane on Thursday evening and the midfield general feels by winning this competition they will show to everyone that the club has now arrived.
Andre Villas-Boas will hope his Tottenham team can emulate the Porto side that he took all the way to win Europe's secondary trophy in 2011.
The last trophy to arrive at White Hart Lane was the League Cup back in 2008 and the only silverware that Parker has won, as a top-flight player, is an Intertoto Cup winners' medal further back in 2006 with Newcastle United.
The midfield enforcer believes Spurs are in a healthy situation this season and winning the Europa League would be special, for players and fans alike.
"It would be massive for me personally and I think it would be massive for a lot of us in the changing room and for the club as well," said Parker, according to Sky Sports.
"As well as us as a squad, when I say that I obviously mean the fans as well. I can't remember the last time we won a trophy.
"For the fans, it would be something very special - it would be something that shows the club is moving in the right direction and would be pleasing.
"We have gone on a very good run and it is a tough competition with good teams in it.
"We wouldn't want to look too far ahead because obviously we have got two difficult games coming up, but you're at the business end now so there is a chance you can go all the way."
AVB's men are in pole position to remain in the top four and qualify for the UEFA Champions League next term as the Premier League reaches the business end.
"This is the business end of the season," the England international added.
"This is where it defines you. We have worked hard to get to this stage and are in the quarter-finals and are sitting healthy in the league.
"I suppose this is the most important point now. You need to maintain and keep picking up results and finish and maintain your objectives and get there at the end of the season."
