The 23-year-old Brazilian international has been heavily linked with a move to Europe, and is believed to have held preliminary talks about a switch to the Premier League in January.
Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas is a confirmed admirer of Damiao's, but failed in his attempts to lure the frontman to White Hart Lane in the mid-season window.
It's anticipated that the Portuguese tactician will renew his interest in the South American in the summer, but Spurs are likely to face serious competition for the player's signature.
Damiao is keen to distance himself from the latest round of rumours, maintaining that he is focused on his football with Internacional.
"I'm calm. I'll certainly leave Internacional one day, but my focus at the moment is on the club," he said in an interview with Globo Esporte.
"I hope to play in Europe one day, it's a dream, but I am also in no hurry to leave. I have no reason to do anything crazy and leave quickly.
"I have had many chances to leave, but I have stayed. I want (any transfer) to be good for Internacional too."
Asked specifically how he is affected by constant speculation, Damiao remained unperturbed, as it is something he has come to expect as his profile continues to grow.
"When a player becomes more visible, these stories appear. I'm not thinking about where I'll go."
