Tottenham Hotspur face FC Basel in a Europa League quarter-final tonight, with manager Andre Villas-Boas set to name a strong side in the club’s quest for silverware.
AVB has consistently shuffled his keeper in the competition, and Brad Friedel will again get the nod ahead of Hugo Lloris, who is recovering from a knee injury.
William Gallas is set to return following the weekend win at Swansea City, and is likely to partner Michael Dawson at the heart of the defence. Kyle Walker is back at right back, with Jan Vertonghen in good form on the opposite flank.
In midfield, Spurs can build on a solid defensive core in the shape of Jake Livermore and Scott Parker, with Moussa Dembele ahead of the pair and Lewis Holtby on the bench.
And, on the flanks, the choice appears relatively simple for the Tottenham Hotspur boss, who has Aaron Lennon operating on the right and Gareth Bale on the left.
Up-front, injury to Jermain Defoe means options are limited, and Togolese international Emmanuel Adebayor will lead the line at White Hart Lane.
Tottenham Hotspur predicted line-up v FC Basel:
Brad Friedel; Kyle Walker, Michael Dawson, William Gallas, Jan Vertonghen; Jake Livermore, Scott Parker; Aaron Lennon, Moussa Dembele, Gareth Bale; Emmanuel Adebayor.
