While Barcelona sweat over the fitness of superstar Lionel Messi before their Champions League quarter-final second leg with Paris Saint-Germain next week, the club's supporters have something to cheer in the form of a possible eventual successor to the Argentine.

Step forward Gabriel Martinez, a member of Barcelona's Benjamin B youth team, who recently scored two wonderful goals against their Valencia counterparts in the style of Messi himself.

Martinez, who usually operates in a defensive position, showed the pace, skill and finishing ability of a player more used to featuring in a more advanced role, as the youngster netted twice in spectacular fashion.

Aged just 10, Martinez already looks like a typically accomplished Barcelona player, with both goals in his brace highlighting fabulous control and balance, and an unflappable nerve when presented with the opportunity to score.

Martinez's goals are placed at No.1 and No.2 in Barcelona's weekly round-up of academy strikes, and they can be seen in the video below. Enjoy.
