Over the course of the Premier League era, many South American footballers have graced and enhanced England's top tier.
Here, a team of XI talented players from the continent will be gathered to create the best possible line-up from the available players currently plying their trade in the Premier League.
Goalkeeper: Julio Cesar | QPR
Ever since his arrival into the Premier League, the Brazil international has produced some remarkable saves for his team which have saved them in significant games. But, due to QPR's position in the league, he may not continue to spend his career at Loftus Road.
After seven seasons spent in Italy with former club Inter Milan, the 33-year-old is still in fine form for club and country and definitely deserves this spot ahead of only one other contender.
Right-back: Rafael | Manchester United
The twin brother of Fabio, Rafael has been very impressive playing regularly for the league leaders. The 22-year-old is on the verge of winning a third Premier League winners medal. The Brazilian is one of the youngest players in the line-up.
Centre-back: Fabricio Coloccini | Newcastle United
The Argentine has been a solid defender for his side despite their concerns. Having been loyal to his club throughout their rise and fall, the 31-year-old is among the best centre-halves in the league, let alone the individuals in South America. Coloccini may depart in the summer however, with reports suggesting he wants a return to his homeland for personal reasons.
Centre-back: David Luiz | Chelsea
Able to play at left-back or as a defensive midfielder, the Brazil international has been a bright spark for the defending Champions League winners after arriving at Stamford Bridge from Benfica for over £20 million.
The versatile defender continues to impress at the back and also in dead-ball situations with his well-known free-kick attempts.
Left-back: Pablo Zabaleta | Manchester City
The Argentinian has enjoyed his football for the defending champions this season at the expense of Micah Richards and Maicon.
Zabaleta has been one of City's most consistent performers this season, and has established himself as one of the first names on the teamsheet at the Etihad Stadium.
Centre-midfield: Ramires | Chelsea
Enjoying another season full of plenty of appearances, the Brazilian has been one of Chelsea's best. The quick, strong and hard-working midfielder has been a leader in the middle of the park. The 26-year-old has also received many caps for his country ahead of a second World Cup campaign.
Right attacking-midfield: Oscar | Chelsea
Along with being one of the youngest players in this team, the 21-year-old is also one of the most talented as well. Arriving from Brazil in the summer for around £20 millionk, the creative midfielder couldn't have dreamed of a better first season. As the playmaker, he has been utilised in over 25 league encounters. Recognised for his flair and creativity, the Brazil international has a long and successful future ahead of him.
Left attacking-midfield: Philippe Coutinho | Liverpool
Officially the youngest player in the XI, the Merseyside club's star winter signing has already impressed for the Reds. Arriving from Inter for a reported £6.5 million, the blossoming Brazilian has fit right in under Brendan Rogers. Known for his dribbling ability and creativity, Coutinho is worthy of this spot.
Right forward: Luis Suarez | Liverpool
Having an astonishing season, one of the favourites for PFA Player of the Season, the Uruguay international was certain for a place in the squad. With 22 goals already, Suarez has been his side's main man after arriving from Ajax.
Whether starting up front or just behind the striker, the 26-year-old has been consistent and has flourished after scoring just 11 goals in his previous campaign.
Left forward: Carlos Tevez | Manchester City
Along with playing for cross-town rivals Manchester United, the Argentine became the first player to win a Premier League title with both Manchester outfits.
Having improved from last season, the 29-year-old has netted 10 goals with seven assists. Debuting in England for West Ham, Tevez is able to play as a striker or a number 10 role behind the striker.
Striker: Sergio Aguero | Manchester City
Despite suffering and injury which had kept him on the sidelines for over a month, the Argentina international remains one of the best forwards in the league. After having a sublime debut season for City with 23 goals, the 24-year-old hasn't been able to continue that form, having only scored less than half of that tally this campaign.
Subs: Antonio Valencia, Jonas Gutierrez, Anderson, Sandro and Gaston Ramirez.
