Jose Mourinho set to snub Chelsea for PSG
Paris Saint-Germain want Jose Mourinho to deliver Champions League success
José Mourinho is set to shock the football world by snubbing Chelsea to join Paris Saint-Germain in the summer, as reported in The Sunday People.
It has been widely reported that 'The Special One' was set to return to his former club Chelsea this summer, but it is now believed he will replace Carlo Ancelotti at PSG.
The French club are seven points clear at the top of Ligue 1 and look set to win their first league title since 1994, but their billionaire Qatari owners want to take the club to the next level in the Champions League.
Mourinho's record in the competition has made him their number one choice as the owners set their sights on winning Europe’s premier competition.
The move to France is reported to be of interest to Mourinho as his long-term ambition is to succeed Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United when the long-standing manager decides to retire.
With Ferguson set to continue at the helm of Manchester United for the next few years, a short stint in Paris could add to his already impressive and illustrious CV that includes two Champions League wins.
Some have said his relationship with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is not repairable, whilst managing Manchester United’s rivals Manchester City would harm his chances of ever managing the Old Trafford outfit.
It seems that with his position at Real Madrid in doubt, Mourinho could find himself with less options that expected. If his dream is to manage Manchester United then Paris may be seen as his last managerial stint before settling down in the Theatre of Dreams.
