Video: It runs in the family - Messi's cousin scores wondergoal
Lionel Messi's cousin scores wondergoal for Brazilian outfit Vitoria
There are some pretty famous sporting fraternities out there. The Lampards, the Mannings and the Charltons are just a few that spring to mind.
Now it seems however that there is a new family on the metaphorical block, the Messi's.
There's barely a person on earth who hasn't heard about what dear old Lionel has been up to in recent years, winning four Ballon d'Ors, helping Barcelona win the Champions League three times and generally being one of the greatest players that has ever lived.
Well move over Lionel, because your 28-year-old cousin Maxi Biancucchi, whose nickname is, rather obviously El primo de Messi or Messi's cousin, has outdone all that by scoring a really, really good goal.
Emanuel BiancucchiIndependiente,Playing for Brazilian outfit Vitoria, Biancucchi, whose brother and another of Messi's cousins plays for pounces on a loose ball and lofts his shot sublimely into the back of the net in a convincing 5-1 win over Bahia.
Now all we need is little Thiago to slam home a volley in the back garden and we will have a proper dynasty on our hands. I wonder if Cristiano Ronaldo has an uncle who is still playing.....
