Tottenham Hotspur are being linked with a summer move for FC Twente defender Douglas.
The Daily Star claims Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas has sent scouts to watch the Brazilian centre back on a number of occasions, as the north London outfit finalise their list of summer transfer targets.
William Gallas is tipped to leave White Hart Lane at the end of the season, with the paper going on to report that Younes Kaboul’s future at Tottenham is also far from certain.
And, if the duo do leave Spurs, then Villas-Boas will have a hole to fill, with Michael Dawson, Jan Vertonghen and Steven Caulker his only other options.
Douglas joined FC Twente in 2007, and has been a regular for the Eredivisie side ever since moving to the Netherlands.
However, the paper reports that the centre back will be available for free at the end of the season, with his contract set to expire at De Grolsch Veste. Tottenham Hotspur aren’t the only team chasing his signature either, with Atletico Madrid and Juventus also pursuing the signature.
