Tottenham forward Clint Dempsey has openly admitted that the north London outfit are enduring a stressful time as they go in search of Europa League and top four Premier League success.
After watching Arsenal beat West Bromwich Albion 2-1 at the Hawthorns on Saturday, Tottenham then drew at home 2-2 to Everton, which marked their third successive home game without a win as they try to fight for Europa League glory and also Champions League qualification.
Arsenal are just two points off Tottenham now with a game in hand and Chelsea are level on points with Spurs with a game in hand over the north London side as well.
After dropping more points at home, American forward, Clint Dempsey believes the pressure will not go away from now until the end of the season and they believe their next home game, which is against Manchester City, will also be a very tough game.
Dempsey told reporters: "That's the way it's kind of been the last few games at home. It's been tense. I've felt like that's how the atmosphere has been.
"I don't know if it has been affecting performances. It's been noticeable, in the last three home games.
"There are a few teams right there in the fight for the Champions League and it makes it more interesting for people to watch.
"It's a little bit more stressful but it's a good stress. At least we're pushing to try to get that spot.
"It's going to come to the end and, hopefully, we have enough character to get the job done. "You've got to keep going and do everything you can to help the team."
