With the end of the 2012/13 season fast approaching, the summer transfer window will be open and Chelsea look set to make more improvements to their squad.
There have been rumours, talks of deals and players everyone wants to see join, but here are my suggestions that would make some of the biggest and best changes to the current squad.
Radamel Falcao | Atletico Madrid
Regarded as one of the best strikers in the world, he not only scored a hat-trick against Chelsea in the UEFA Super Cup, but has helped Atletico Madrid climb into third place in La Liga.
He takes chances whenever possible and rarely makes a mistake. There were rumours of a part exchange deal to buy Falcao and have Fernando Torres go the other way, but it is yet to be seen if that deal comes to fruition.
David Villa | Barcelona
David Villa has been surplus to requirements at Barcelona with Lionel Messi leading the team, but he's a fantastic striker in his own right. To have him at the front of Chelsea would give him the opportunity to develop even further as a player, and score goals left right and centre whenever he is presented with the opportunity.
Cristiano Ronaldo | Real Madrid
Cristiano Ronaldo, the Ballon d'Or winner, holds the record for goals in La Liga and one of the best players in the world - he needs little introduction.
A possible midfield replacement for Frank Lampard (who I am hoping will get another contract), and would make Chelsea unstoppable once again!
Kyle Walker | Tottenham
Kyle Walker has enjoyed a strong season at Spurs. Only 22-years-old, there is room for him to improve further and grow as a player. With Chelsea's defenders getting older there will be a need for young talent, and that is exactly what he will present.
Though he only has five goals to his name, he works hard up and down the pitch and it is that work ethic Chelsea would require to keep tight to attackers and help feed in the midfielders.
Leighton Baines | Everton
Leighton Baines is a fantastic player, his free-kicks are almost unbeatable and his ability top class. A possible Ashley Cole replacement should he retire or leave for another club, Baines would be a huge improvement to any side.
He has impressed for Everton and England on multiple occasions, the skill he shows as a 28-year-old is outstanding, and could well last five or more years after this season.
Phil Jagielka | Everton
Phil Jagielka - another Everton star who has shown on multiple occasions why he is one of England's best defenders. Playing for his club and national team regularly, he is one of the good old fashioned England centre-backs who will put everything on the line to stop a striker getting a shot off.
A possible John Terry replacement, Jagielka would bring experience and pure class to Chelsea, an asset they need at the back with the young and inexperienced players coming through the ranks.
