Andoni Zubizarreta, the sporting director of Barcelona, has ruled out the possibility to the Catalan club attempting to bring any Real Madrid players to the Camp Nou, amid suggestions Sergio Ramos is a transfer target for the Primera Division leaders.
El Mundo Deportivo has claimed that Barcelona would consider making a move to prise Ramos away from the Santiago Bernabeu, but Zubizarreta has moved to rebuff any suggestions he wants to sign any stars from Real Madrid.
The former Barcelona and Spain goalkeeper told El Mundo Deportivo: "Sergio Ramos is a great player. But Madrid players are not on our list."
Before they can turn their attention to summer transfer targets, however, Barcelona and Real Madrid each have Champions League quarter-final encounters to attend to, with the two great rivals both in action this week.
Los Blancos face Galatasary on Tuesday evening with a place in the semi-final all but booked, having strolled to a 3-0 victory in the first leg in Madrid courtesy of goals from Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Gonzalo Higuain.
Barcelona, meanwhile, have a far more delicately poised tie as Paris Saint-Germain travel to the Camp Nou with the scores level at 2-2 following the first leg at the Parc des Princes last week.
The Spanish champions-elect are sweating on the fitness of Lionel Messi for the encounter on Wednesday, after the Barcelona superstar was injured in Paris.
