Premier League Predictions: Race for the Top Four (1)

Published 16 Comments

The end of another Premier League season is nigh and as ever the pressure is ratcheting up at both ends of the table.

QPR and Reading look doomed to relegation while one of a handful of teams above are in danger of being dragged down along with them.

But it is at the very top that perhaps the most engrossing battle is unfolding, as three teams battle it out for a crucial spot in the Champions League while above them Manchester City are desperately trying to reel in rivals Manchester United.

Unable to bear the tension anymore we here at GMF decided to have a go at predicting how the action will unfold - but rather than blindly guessing what the outcome of each team's remaining games we thought looking into the past might give us some better answers.

So we've taken each team at the top's run-in - seven games for all teams except Tottenham - added up the points they scored against those teams earlier in the season and added that to their current total to see where they might end up.

Sound complicated? Fear not, click the next page and see how we think the top five will look come May...
