Barcelona remain the favourites to win the Champions League this season as the competition edges towards its semi-final stage, according to Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus.

The Catalan giants take on Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg of their last eight encounter on Wednesday night with the tie delicately poised following a 2-2 draw at the Parc des Princes.

Lionel Messi had provided Barcelona with the lead in the opening leg before Zlatan Ibrahimovic drew PSG level, while Xavi netted from the spot in the closing stages to seemingly put Tito Vilanova's side firmly in control.

However, Blaise Matuidi hit an even later equaliser for the Paris giants, although Barcelona still remain in control ahead of the second instalment of the clash at the Camp Nou.

Reus, meanwhile, could meet Barcelona in the next round should Borussia Dortmund progress past Malaga in their quarter-final clash, and the Germany international says Barca are still the team to beat in this year's competition.

"Barcelona play really good football. They're capable of creating much space, even against teams who defend with 11 players,” he told Die Welt.

"Therefore, Barcelona are the favourites to win the Champions League."
