Since the start of the Premier League back in 1992, many players have come and gone and braced the competition with their own unique style of play - but which players have appeared the most?
Now the issue with doing a most appearances XI is that the players will not always be playing in their usual position, but it will feature the 11 players that have made most appearances in the Premier League era. Having said this, two goalkeepers make the top 11 list, so I have had to replace one of them for an outfield player to make the line-up possible.
Now, with the 11 players that have appeared the most times in the Premier League, three of them have played for only one club throughout that time.
Those three players are: Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Jamie Carragher.
Giggs has made the most appearances in the Premier League and is also the only player to have scored in every single campaign since it has started - an impressive feat to say the least for the Welshman.
So, who else makes the line-up along with the likes of Giggs, Scholes and Carragher? Below you can find out, with the information available at Transfermarkt.
Goalkeeper: David James | 572 apps | Clubs: 5
Right-back: Phil Neville | 505 apps | Clubs: 2
Centre-back: Sol Campbell | 503 apps | Clubs: 4
Centre-back: Jamie Carragher | 503 apps | Clubs: 1
Left-back: Rio Ferdinand | 473 apps | Clubs: 3
Right-wing: Gary Speed | 534 apps | Clubs: 4
Centre-midfield: Paul Scholes | 497 apps | Clubs: 1
Centre-midfield: Gareth Barry | 491 apps | Clubs: 2
Centre-midfield: Frank Lampard | 547 apps | Clubs: 2
Left-wing: Ryan Giggs | 614 apps | Clubs: 1
Striker: Emile Heskey | 516 apps | Clubs: 5
So I know Rio Ferdinand is not a left-back, but he does make the top 11 for his number of appearances, so I have had to push him to left-back. The same for Gary Speed, who was more known as a centre-midfielder, but as he's in the top 11 list, he has to make-do for a right midfield position.
So there are the 11 players with the most appearances in the Premier League. Now, who goes on to make the seven-man substitutes' bench?
Mark Schwarzer | 497 apps | Clubs: 2
Kevin Davies | 442 apps | Clubs: 3
Alan Shearer | 441 apps | Clubs: 2
Aaron Hughes | 441 apps | Clubs: 3
Steven Gerrard | 435 | Clubs: 1
Gareth Southgate | 425 | Clubs: 3
Danny Murphy | 416 apps | Clubs: 4
Once again I have had to exclude two goalkeepers as there wouldn't be three 'keepers on the bench, but taking those out of the picture, the aforementioned seven would be on the subs' bench for a Premier League most appearances XI.
