Theo Walcott v Liverpool, 2008

Most of the assists on this list are slide-rule passes that tear teams apart in the blink of an eye; this one is different but no less deserving of a spot.

Arsenal and Liverpool were battling it out for a spot in the semi-finals in 2008, and the Merseyside-club looked set to progress after Fernando Torres had made it 2-1 on the evening and 3-2 on aggregate.

However Walcott thought differently and embarked on a scintillating run, taking on the majority of Liverpool's team to tee up Emmanuel Adebayor. Liverpool fought back with two of their own to dump the Gunners out in the end.
