Roma striker Pablo Osvaldo has heightened speculation over a possible move to Tottenham Hotspur after he reportedly travelled to London.
A report in talkSPORT claims the White Hart lane club have been monitoring the 27-year-old for some time and could be about to seal the deal.
Roma were taking on Lazio in the Rome derby on Monday night but Osvaldo was not in the squad and the report claims he travelled to London instead of attending the match.
It also claims Serie A clubs Juventus and Fiorentina are interested in the £12million-rated striker, though this move could indicate he is ready to join Spurs.
Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas will have a decision to make regarding strikers in the summer, as he has struggled to find a consistent option to lead the line.
Jermain Defoe has struggled with fitness this season and it is questionable whether he can be relied upon to be the first choice throughout the season.
Villas-Boas’ other option is Emmanuel Adebayor but the Togo forward has failed to shine for most of the time since his transfer from Manchester City was made permanent.
Argentina-born Osvaldo has appeared six times for Italy but his club form has dipped recently and he has not started a Serie A game for over a month, despite scoring 11 goals in 23 games.
