Miami Heat overturned a 27 point deficit against the Cleveland Cavaliers to extend their win streak to 24 and extend their lead at the top of the Eastern Conference.

Lebron James was once again the top scorer for the Heat has he hit 25 points including 14 in the final quarter.

It wasn't until the ever reliable James netted two free throws with 4.7 seconds left that Miami knew the streak was unblemished and they finished 98-95 winners.

The San Antonio Spurs also extended their lead at the top of the Western Conference with a 104-93 over the Golden State Warriors.

Tim Duncan was the man who lead San Antonio to the win, scoring 25 points and securing 13 points. Golden State remain sixth in the table with an overall record of 39 wins and 31 losses.

Elsewhere, the Memphis Grizzlies needed overtime to beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 90-89 in a West conference top of the table clash.

Kevin Durant scored 32 points for the Thunder in a valiant effort, however, it was the Grizzlies who edged it mainly thanks to contributions from Mike Conley (24) and Jerryd Bayless (20).

The Los Angeles Clippers also completed an impressive win with a 101-72 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers and the Houston Rockets improved its position in the Western Conference playoff race with a 100-93 win over Utah Jazz.

Charlotte Bobcats won their second consecutive game for the first time since mid-November, defeating Toronto Raptors 107-101 and the Phoenix Suns had their fifth loss in six games to remain joint bottom of the Western Conference going down 88-79 to the Washington Wizards.

Brook Lopez was the top scorer in the NBA last night with 38 points for the Brooklyn Nets as they secured an impressive 113-96 win over Dallas Mavericks. The win cements the Nets' fourth place in the Eastern Conference and leaves Dallas with work to do if they want to make the Western Conference playoffs.
