Manchester United midfielder target wants to stay at PSG

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti has dismissed suggestions he's set to leave the French capital in the summer, amid reported interest from Manchester United and Juventus, reports talkSPORT.

The 20-year-old Italian international has been earning rave reviews at Parc des Princes this season following a series of impressive performances both domestically and in Europe this year.

Verratti played a starring role in PSG's 1-1 draw with Barcelona at Camp Nou on Wednesday night, but was unable to prevent Carlo Ancelotti's side from exiting the Champions League at the quarter-final stage following a 3-3 aggregate scoreline.

Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson is believed to be monitoring Verratti's development, as he weighs up a bid to bring the midfielder to Old Trafford at the end of the campaign.

However, Manchester United will face stiff competition for the player's signature, not only from Serie 'A' giants Juventus, but also because of the PSG star's desire to stay put.

"Juve or another club?. No. I'm staying at PSG. I have already decided," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
