Real Betis host Sevilla in the derby tonight and the home side go into the game six points clear of their rivals who sit in 10th place.

Both sides are still aiming for European football next season and this hotly-contested fixture is always eventful.

Barcelona travel to lowly Real Zaragoza on Sunday hoping to increase their lead at the top of the La Liga table with eight games to play.

17th-placed Zaragoza are just a point off the bottom three and haven't won in six while Tito Vilanova's side will be on a high after reaching the Champions League semi-finals in midweek.

Jose Mourinho's Real Madrid travel to the Basque country on the same day to face an Athletic Bilbao side having a poor season in comparison with last year's campaign.

Madrid know the title is lost but finishing second ahead of city rivals Atletico is important considering the two sides face-off in the Copa Del Rey final next month and Ronaldo and company will also be buoyed by their midweek triumph.

Third-placed Atletico Madrid host struggling Granada who haven't won in their last six matches.

Diego Simeone's Atletico team have drawn their last two league games.

After Wednesday's cruel exit at the hands of Borussia Dortmund and some poor linesman decision-making, Malaga host Osasuna on Saturday looking to stay in contention for the top four.

On the same day 12th placed Espanyol face Valencia and the team from the Mestalla are two points behind fourth-placed Real Sociedad in their quest to qualify for next season's Champions League.

Elsewhere on Sunday, Sociedad travel to face ninth-placed Rayo Vallecano hoping to maintain the gap between the rest of the La Liga Champions League hopefuls.

Saturday's other fixtures see's Levante host Deportivo La Coruna while Real Valladolid play Getafe and on Monday night Mallorca and Celta Vigo go head-to-head at the Iberostar stadium.
