Vlad Chiriches is a transfer target for Chelsea, according to the players agent.
The 23-year-old had been tipped for a move away from Steaua Bucharest after impressing in this season's Europa League. He started eleven Continental games since August, also contributing four goals.
When asked by reporters about links with Chelsea, Real Madrid and Zenit St Petersburg, his agent, Victor Becali, revealed: "They are interested in him but other top European clubs are also following him, including those in Italy."
Chiriches helped Steaua beat Ajax and CFR Cluj to reach the Last 16 round of the competition, where he scored at Stamford Bridge during Chelsea's 3-2 aggregate victory over the Romanians.
Becali would not, however, rule out the possibility of him staying at his native club.
His agent continued by saying: "It's not been said that he will definitely leave Steaua.
"I believe we can handle the figures of the deal but first they need to find an agreement with Steaua. Then we will talk to other clubs."
So, the future seems bright for the now heavily sought-after defender, whose most recent appearance for Romania saw him take part in a 4-0 defeat to the Netherlands.
