Peter Crouch | Stoke City

Manchester City's Premier League title charge was briefly halted by a moment of brilliance from Stoke City striker Peter Crouch, who fired a dipping 25-yard volley past Joe Hart.

Asmir Begovic's long punt upfield was nodded on by Crouch into the path of Jermaine Pennant, who headed back to the 6ft 7in forward, who proceeded to flick the ball up and unleash an unstoppable shot into the top corner.

City later drew level through Yaya Toure, to move to the top of the Premier League table on goal difference, but it was the former England striker who stole the show with his sensational goal of the season contender.
