The Premier League has been invaded by players from Belgium in recent years. 

These players have dazzled from their performances on the English shores and have become some of the most sought after commodities in world football. 

Here is a look at a premier league XI made entirely out of Belgian players. The formation that has been deployed is a 4-2-1-3 but it can also be switched to 4-4-2.

Simon Mignolet | Goalkeeper

The goalkeeper has been one of the few bright lights for Sunderland in a campaign which has seen them flirting with relegation. He has impressed with his handling and shot stopping and has earned his club some crucial points with his battling displays.

Dedryck Boyata | Right-back

The player hasn’t been able to earn a regular place in the Manchester city back-line but the club rates him highly and have earmarked him for the future.

Vincent Kompany | Centre-back (C)

The Manchester City captain has become one of the most respected defenders in Europe with his powerful performances and leadership skills.

Thomas Vermaelen | Centre-back

The defender has made a name for himself after moving to Arsenal as a consistent performer in the back-line. He also pops up with a handy number of goals and is an asset when it comes to attacking set pieces.

His form this season hasn’t been impressive but everybody expects the classy defender to come back stronger from his current state. 

Jan Vertonghen | Left-back

The Tottenham Hotspur defender has been a revelation since his move to the Premier League from Holland. He has impressed with his assured displays at the back as well as some crucial goals.He has mostly impressed at centre-back but has also been deployed on the left by his club and country. 

Mousa Dembele | Centre-midifeld

The midfielder has seen his stock rise in recent years and his move to Tottenham and partnership with Sandro was lauded as one of the finest of the league.

Earlier in his career he was deployed as a forward, this helped develop his shooting and finishing and he has scored some crucial goals this season. 

Marouane Fellaini | Centre-midifeld

The Everton player has been lighting up the premier league with his box to box approach and all action displays. He is a physically intimidating presence and has really improved his goal scoring this season. His performances have him sought after by some of the biggest clubs in the world.

Eden Hazard | Attacking-midfield

His displays in the French League saw the top three premiership clubs fighting for his signature, the saga ended when he joined Chelsea. Although his transition into the English league hasn’t been as smooth he has shown enough flashes of brilliance that there is no doubt he will be a world class player for Chelsea in years to come.

Kevin Mirallas | Right-forward

The forward has impressed one and all with his trickery and finishing ability. Everton has relied on his creativity to provide the cutting edge in a side that is efficient and hard working.

Romelu Lukaku | Centre-forward

The Chelsea loan star has had a productive spell at West Bromwich Albion. His power, pace and finishing has seen him reach double figures along with an impressive number of assists.

He looks set for another spell at a club that will be playing in Europe to further his development 

Christan Benkete | Left-forward

The Aston Villa forward has taken the Premier League by storm and in the process attracted a host of clubs to his talents. He looks likely to improve and impress for years to come at the top level.
