Since returning from a 17 month lay-off, Jack Wilshere's form has been excellent and when fit, he has been a mainstay of the team.

However, Arsenal fans should not put too much pressure on the 21-year-old, despite him seeming to deal with the limelight so well.

While a potential future captain and a player who has the potential to be one of the very best, Wilshere must not be depended on by the team. His enthusiasm, work ethic and passing ability has so far been crucial to Arsenal since his return.

However, after returning from his latest injury against Norwich, he struggled until he was substituted, making sloppy passes and struggling on the ball - this highlights why the Gunners must not rely on his energy in the midfield, and a man-of-the-match performance from Aaron Ramsey proved that Wenger has great options.

At Arsenal, a lack of depth in the midfield is certainly not an issue, with the likes of Arteta, Ramsey, Coquelin, Diaby, Rosicky, Cazorla and of course Wilshere currently occupying those slots in the team.

It could even be said that the recent midfield of Arteta-Ramsey-Rosicky/Cazorla (drifting in and out of the wings) has looked more balanced, perhaps due to his aggressive nature leaving gaps in-front of Arteta and the defence.

Despite the departures of some of the club's best players recently such as Cole, Van Persie, Fabregas and Nasri, it looks highly unlikely that Wilshere would leave Arsenal, even declaring that he promises to stay at the Emirates forever.
