A number of Chelsea players have had fantastic seasons as the Blues go in search of a top four finish and Europa League glory.
Here we asses the Stamford Bridge outfits top five players of the season:
Mata has had an amazing season so far. He has been lethal in-front of goal this season, and has accumulated a staggering 32 assists. This shows just how unselfish Mata is, that he can put the ball into situations where another player can pop it in, creating chances, and also finishing for himself.
After a disappointing previous season (to say the least), Fernando Torres has come back with 20 goals in all competitions and it's fair to say he is slowly returning to his best.
With crucial goals, for example keeping Chelsea in the FA Cup against Brentford, and keeping the Blues in the Europa League against Rubin Kazan (2nd leg), Torres has performed well when needed, and when he does finish, does so in style.
Again this season Lampard has hit double figures in terms of goals for Chelsea, and also reached the 200 goal milestone for his club, and at the age of 34 he has no signs of letting up.
Being a magnificent team player, and always finishing in style he is an all round midfielder, getting himself and the ball into good positions. Being the penalty and free-kick taker of choice, and captain in the absence of John Terry, 'Super Frank' is an obvious nominee for star performer this season.
Joining from Newcastle in the January transfer window, Demba Ba is joint fifth for Premier League goal scorers with 15 in total. Scoring a sublime goal against David de Gea in the FA Cup quarter-final replay taking Chelsea to the semi-finals, and another amazing goal against ManchesterCity, despite losing 2-1, his performances have been truly outstanding. With two goals in his first Chelsea game, Ba is a serious contender for their star performer.
Joining in the summer from Lille, Hazard had an immediate impact to the team, adjusting to the Premier League almost instantaneously, with 12 goals, 22 assists.
Hazard has graced Chelsea with his presence and class. Despite being involved in a ridiculous incident with a Swansea ball boy, Hazard is a great all round player, creating something from nothing and having a consistently high standard, Hazard has been one of Chelsea's star performers.
The decision is tough, it's between Torres and Mata for sure, but in the end I have to go with Mata. His unselfish play and high goal tally has made him vital to Chelsea's performances.
Without him, there would be a huge gap in Chelsea's midfield which would be almost impossible to fill with any other player.
