You probably already know that the semi-finalists of the Champions League are Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Real Madrid. How about Lyon, Juvisy (France), Wolfsburg and Arsenal?

These four teams are the semi-finalists of the 2012/13 edition of the Women's Champions League.

Football has long been viewed as sport for men. But now, women's football is gaining popularity and fast. Traditional powerhouses include USA and Brazil - led by Marta. Don't know who Marta is? Go Google it.

Marta, whose full name is Marta Vieira da Silva, won both the Golden Ball and Golden Boot awards in the same World Cup. By the way, Marta has won more World Player of the Year awards than Lionel Messi - five of them to be exact. In short, Marta is probably the best footballer ever.

The final of this year's Women's Champions League final will be played at Stamford Bridge - home of European champions, Chelsea.

Of the four remaining teams, Lyon have already taken a huge step towards the final after beating Juvisy 3-0 in the first leg. Wolfsburg, on the other hand, overcame Arsenal's Goonerettes to win 2-0. Still, Arsenal Ladies are the top dogs and remain favourites.

Despite being founded in 1987, they have won 38 major trophies, making them the most successful English women's club ever. Two WSL titles, 12 Premier League titles, 11 Women's Cups, 10 Women's Premier League Cups, 2 Continental WSL Cups and one Women's Champions League crown - Arsenal Ladies' trophy cabinet is bulging and puts the men's equivalent to shame.

The final might not be as encapsulating as the men's Champions League but I guarantee you, women's football is no drab. This Olympic sport might become as popular as men's football itself one day, as the female version of the game continues to grow and shows no signs of stopping.
