The likes of Robin van Persie and Michu have proven to be sensational  buys for their clubs, however there have been some players that have just not hit it off at their new sides.

Here are my top five worst signings of the season:

Scott Sinclair, Manchester City

Former Chelsea academy graduate Sinclair made a dramatic deadline-day move to Manchester from Swansea for £5.5million following an excellent season with the Swans. However, he has become a regular on the City bench, making only 10 appearances with a single goals, and no assists, to his name.

Pavel Pogrebnyak, Reading

Russian hit-man Pogrebnyak has a fruitful spell on loan with Fulham last season, yielding six goals in his 12 appearances, yet he chose to join the Royals in the summer, which appeared to be something of a coup for the newly-promoted side.

Unfortunately, five goals in 21 games, including several lumbering, tiresome performances have failed to justify his rumoured £65,000-per-week wages and expected to make a return to Russia.

Fabio Borini, Liverpool

Although his season has been ravaged by injury, the Italian - another Chelsea academy graduate - has failed to show the quality to match his hefty £10million-plus transfer fee. He has failed to hit the back of the net in the nine games since his arrival.

Jose Bosingwa, QPR

The temperamental Portugal international signed on a free transfer having won a Champions League winner's medal with Chelsea, agreeing a contract worth an astronomical £60,000-a-week wages. However, his performances have been below-par, and he has has a public spat with boss Harry Redknapp after being dropped against Fulham.

Peter Odemwingie, QPR

Oh wait, sorry, this never happened...

Danny Graham, Sunderland

Brought in as the man to solve Sunderland's goalscoring crisis, childhood Newcastle fan Graham has not scored a single goal since making a £5million move from Swansea on January transfer deadline day.
