Edinson Cavani is ready to join Manchester City or Chelsea

Edinson Cavani is ready to leave Napoli this summer, with both Chelsea and Manchester City stated as possible destinations.

Speaking to Naples radio station ‘Kiss Kiss’, Cavani’s brother Guglielmone stated his younger brother was ready for a new challenge.

Both Chelsea and Manchester City have been linked with him in the past but Guglielmone claims Real Madrid are also in the hunt for his signature.

"Edi is ready for a big European club. Real Madrid? There is also Manchester City and Chelsea,” he is quoted as saying by La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Chelsea have long been rumoured to be readying a move for another striker, though Atletico Madrid’s Radamel Falcao has been the name linked the most.

However, Manchester United were recently reported to have stolen a march on the Stamford Bridge club in the race to sign Falcao, which could force Roman Abramovich to go for another target.

Manchester City, meanwhile, are expected to do some rebuilding this summer after a disappointing defence of the Premier League title they won last year.

Both Carlos Tevez and Edin Dzeko have been linked with transfers this summer, while Manchetser City manager Roberto Mancini failed to replace Mario Balotelli after his January transfer window move to AC Milan.
