Jose Mourinho reveals Real Madrid summer exit

.

Jose Mourinho has revealed he will be leaving Real Madrid at the end of the season, leaving a return to Chelsea appear more likely.

The news was revealed by Manuel Alvarez, the president of CD Canillas, where Mourinho’s son is on the books, in an interview with Spanish radio station La COPE.

In the interview Alvarez revealed the Real Madrid boss indicated to him that he would be unable to commit to an annual talk because he would no longer be at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Mourinho has been heavily linked with a return to Chelsea in recent weeks and this could yet be the biggest indicator the move may be on.

“Mourinho told us that he won't be able to give his usual technical talk to our coaching staff next season because he's not going to be here,” said Alvarez in the interview.

After revealing the big news about the Portuguese, Alvarez admitted he did not want it to be the case and hoped the Real Madrid president could prevent it.

“If Mou leaves, it will be a big loss for Spanish football. I hope Florentino can sort it out with him,” he added.

Current interim manager Rafael Benitez has already confirmed he will be leaving the Blues when the season ends.

This has left owner Abramovich with the task of appointing a permanent successor and Mourinho has emerged as the most likely.

Pep Guardiola was mooted as a possible candidate but he has decided to take over as Bayern Munich manager from next season.
