Lazio star Hernanes would be open to a move to the Premier League this summer, with Manchester City reportedly interested, according to

The Brazil star's agent confirmed Hernanes is a huge fan of the Premier League, and even called City a 'top club'.

Roberto Mancini's side have been linked with a summer move for the Brazilian - a part exchange deal involving £15m plus young Swedish striker John Guidetti has been mentioned.

The Lazio midfielder is enjoying an impressive campaign at the heart of the Rome side's midfield, and his club currently sit sixth in the Serie 'A' table.

He impressed against Tottenham in the Europa League earlier this term, and his nine goals from midfield has led to speculation he could be set for a switch this summer.

And the player's agent, Joseph Lee, has revealed his player would be keen on a Premier League move.

Speaking to, Lee said: "These are rumours and for now I do not wish to comment on them. City are a top club at world level and Hernanes loves the Premier League but I have too much respect for Lazio to say any more.

"We discussed many things with president Claudio Lotito in September, including his contract, but the situation has remained unchanged since then. There are no other meetings planned.

"What would happen if an offer came in from Manchester City? I repeat, for now we are talking about rumours, but if it did arrive then Lotito would be forced to call us."

City signed Jack Rodwell and Javi Garcia last summer, but may be looking for another midfielder at the end of this season after a disappointing campaign so far.

But the report stresses there has been no official contact with Lazio over a deal for Hernanes yet.
