Arsenal are eyeing up Salomon Kalou and the former Chelsea star is open to a return to the Premier League.
According to The Sun, Arsene Wenger is keen to make additions to his forward line and the Gunners boss has considered a move for the Ivory Coast international.
Kalou currently plies his trade for Ligue 1 side Lille after he left Chelsea on a free transfer at the end of last season.
The 27-year-old’s recent quotes suggest he has had enough of his time in France and is keen to return to the Premier League.
“I’d love to go back to England,” he is quoted as saying by The Sun.
“I spent six seasons there and I am crazy about the Premier League.
“Players’ careers change so quickly — you never know what will happen tomorrow.”
Arsenal have been inconsistent in attack this season as new signings Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski have suffered from the hit and miss starts that are not unusual for players first coming to the Premier League.
Kalou would bring experience of English football and he was part of a very successful Chelsea side.
The former Feyenoord man was marginalised at the beginning of last season but came back into prominence when Roberto di Matteo took over.
He was a prominent part of the side that eventually went on to win an FA Cup and Champions League double.
