Lionel Messi is usually hogging the limelight when it comes to Argentina but the Under-17s this week showed they had what it takes to live up to his reputation.

The South American Under-17 championships are taking place in Argentina and the hosts are currently top of the standings after a win and entertaining draw against Uruguay last night.

The game finished 3-3 after a late equaliser from Marcelo Storm spared Argentina the embarrassment of throwing away a 2-0 lead.

Sebastian Driussi’s brace had given his side the early two-goal lead and the opener really was something to behold.

A cross came in from the left in the third minute where Driussi was waiting on the edge of the area.

The River Plate youngster is very highly rated and showed why when he chested the cross up and hit a sensational bicycle kick from fully 20 yards that flew over the goalkeeper’s head.

What a start to a match that provided six goals and two red cards – watch Sebastian Driussi’s incredible bicycle kick below.
